Keche Joshua, a member of the Ghanaian music duo Keche, has addressed recent remarks made by King Paluta, who declared he would no longer collaborate with the group.
Paluta’s comments, shared during an interview on the Delay Show, sparked a conversation about the state of their professional relationship and alleged disrespect from Keche.
Speaking about the issue, Joshua expressed surprise at Paluta’s claims. “He said he won’t collaborate with us again, so we’ve heard. It’s nothing, he can go.
We haven’t done anything to him,” he stated. According to Joshua, the group had no intention of disrespecting Paluta and was taken aback by his allegations. “I was surprised by what he said in the interview. It was disrespectful.”
King Paluta, on his part, had voiced his frustrations, accusing Keche of being unappreciative despite his previous contributions, including providing free verses for their songs.
He drew a comparison to an ungrateful recipient of a gift, saying, “Imagine I buy a phone for you upon your request; you ask for airtime the next day, and I say I don’t have the means; then you go about telling people I’m wicked? How?” Paluta believed his efforts were undervalued and described the situation as unfair treatment.

Joshua, however, downplayed the controversy, suggesting that Paluta’s claims lacked substance.
He noted that Paluta’s behaviour contradicted his statements, particularly his decision to promote other artists’ songs while claiming to be unwell.
“The team told me not to speak about it, and it’s fine. He claimed he was sick, yet he was posting other people’s songs,” Joshua remarked.
The disagreement sheds light on the challenges that often arise in creative collaborations, especially in Ghana’s competitive music industry.
While collaborations have been pivotal in the growth of many artists, misunderstandings and unmet expectations can strain relationships.
For now, it seems both Keche and King Paluta are choosing to move on. Joshua’s comments suggest the group is focusing on their work, leaving the door firmly closed on any future partnerships with Paluta. “It’s fine, he can go,” he concluded, underscoring the group’s decision to leave the conflict behind.
