Lawyers representing Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, have successfully secured a court order for the release of her passport to facilitate her self-deportation to Ghana.
The legal team, led by Fast Law, made the request to Hon. J. Paul Oetken, a US District Court Judge, who subsequently granted their appeal.

“We are respectfully seeking the return of Ms. Montrage’s passport to initiate her self-deportation proceedings to Ghana.
“We have conferred with AUSA Kevin Mead, and the government does not object to this request,” the lawyers stated, as quoted by online portal Nydjlive.com.
The directive comes as part of the legal processes following Hajia4Reall’s sentencing at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) in Philadelphia.
Her legal team had previously filed for the release of her passport on November 1, 2024, as part of the conditions to facilitate her deportation.
