Renowned Ghanaian pastor and founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil, has spoken out strongly against a troubling trend he says is infiltrating Christian communities: the exchange of sexual favours for jobs or opportunities.

Addressing his congregation, he passionately called out the hypocrisy of individuals who claim to be Christians but engage in such unethical behaviour.

“You can’t call yourself a Christian and demand sex before offering people jobs. That is not a Christian thing to do,” Pastor Otabil declared with conviction.

“You claim God’s grace brought you to where you are, but you are demanding sex before giving your fellow Christian a job. That is hypocritical!”

This stern rebuke came during a sermon focused on integrity and the need for Christians to reflect their faith in their actions.

Pastor Otabil emphasized that Christianity is rooted in love, service, and respect for others—values directly contradicted by exploiting power and influence for personal gratification.

In Ghana and other parts of the world, allegations of job-for-sex scandals have made headlines, exposing a disturbing misuse of authority in various institutions, including churches, businesses, and public offices.
