Ghanaian musician Article Wan has voiced his frustration over what he perceives as insufficient support from Charterhouse and his home audience.
Speaking passionately during an interview with Abeiku Santana on January 23, 2025, he shared how disheartening it feels to be overlooked despite his efforts and talent.
“If I look at what I can offer the world, I know I have something Ghanaians aren’t paying attention to.
It hurts because I can perform abroad and have the crowd jamming, yet my own country isn’t supporting me the same way,” he lamented.
The musician, who has built a strong reputation for his dynamic performances and hit songs like Solo and That Thing, expressed disappointment in the Ghanaian music industry’s lack of collective effort to uplift homegrown talents.

“Why aren’t these people amplifying their own? They’re sabotaging the work. I’m saying this because I have something big to contribute,” he said.
Over the years, Article Wan has carved a niche for himself with his blend of Afrobeat, dancehall, and highlife.
However, he feels that platforms like the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), organized by Charterhouse, are not doing enough to include diverse voices in their events.
“If they give me the chance to perform, I will give my best.
“I know what I have because I’ve been in the game for a long time. But it feels like Ghanaians aren’t paying attention to me,” he continued, emphasizing his desire to perform on bigger stages to showcase his talent.
