A Facebook user named Nana Serwah Amaniapong has sadly announced the death of a Ghanaian woman called Nana Serwah Godson-Amamoo.
The deceased who was said to be a lawyer and partner at AB & David Africa, a top law firm in Ghana, died in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
An additional report from asaaseradio.com mentioned that the late lawyer collapsed shortly after returning to her hotel from a scuba diving trip. Nana Serwah was highly regarded in her field with more than 19 years of experience in the energy and extractive industries,
As a partner in AB & David Africa’s Natural Resources and Extractive Industries Practice Group, she is known to have represented clients on a wide range of issues related to natural resources, energy, mining, and other extractive industries.
Her expertise covered various legal and strategic aspects, including acquisitions, deal structuring, negotiation support, project development, joint ventures, and local content considerations within these sectors.
Additionally, Nana Serwah reportedly led the firm’s Government Business and Regulation Practice Group, where she played a key role in advising African governments on public sector organizational and policy reform initiatives.
Her contributions included the development of industry legislation, capacity-building initiatives, and support for improving systems and human resources.
Her friend Nana Serwah Amaniapong may have been the first to share the news before it was reported on their website, expressing her grief on Facebook and acknowledging the cruelty of death for taking a friend so suddenly.
“Hmmmm This is unbelievable. 24th Feb was our general meeting as the 1994 year group. You hosted us and really made us feel at home. The family of APPSA 1994 Yellow Check Year Group is heart broken. This is too heavy to bear… Nana Serwah Godson-Amamoo Monica Tawiah, No! No!! No!!!!!!!” she captioned one of her posts.
In another post, she stated:
Death is painful, Death is not merciful, Death is wicked
Nana Serwah Godson-Amamoo you were full of life.
I am devastated by your demise. My name sake, Adwoa Serwah, I am lost of words. What A Shock!!!
