Regular panellist on UTV’s United Showbiz, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has stated bluntly that he believes that Funny should not be shown any mercy for his recent troubles, including the accident that left five people hospitalized.
Despite Funny’s mental disorder being a contributing factor, Baidoo emphasizes that excuses made for the comedian must come to an end. He argues that seeking help for mental health issues does not justify reckless behaviour such as drinking and driving.
Arnold argued thus:
“From the recent reports on the victims, one of them can’t walk while there is also another who has had internal bleeding in the head. If you have a ward and you have to go to the hospital knowing that your kid can’t walk again. He has spoilt the life of the child and you say we should pray for him. He must face the law.
“Funny Face has been fooling for some time and we should let him know that he is fooling. He has a problem and decides to drink alcohol and drive in town. That is not acceptable and we should not make excuses for such a person” he added.
Funny Face was remanded by the Ofankor Circuit court in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region.
This comes after his involvement in a tragic accident on Sunday, March 24, where he hit four individuals – a mother with two children and a motorrider – with his car at Kakraba Junction in Kasoa. Funny Face will remain in police custody for two weeks until his next court appearance.
