The suspects involved in the 2022 murder of rapper PnB Rock have been convicted and sentenced, as reported by HipHopDX.
On Monday, September 23, Freddie Lee Trone, the mastermind behind the deadly attack, received a sentence of 31 years to life.
Trone, 42, played a key role in the fatal shooting, serving as the getaway driver and orchestrating the crime that led to the death of the rapper.
Trone’s 17-year-old son, who allegedly pulled the trigger, is currently deemed unfit to stand trial.
Trone conspired with another suspect, Tremont Jones, just moments before the murder.
Jones, who was involved in the robbery, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
In August, Trone was convicted of multiple charges, including felony murder, two counts of robbery, and conspiracy.
Jones was found guilty of two counts of robbery and conspiracy. This sentencing marks the end of a tragic chapter, following the shocking death of PnB Rock that shook the music world.
In a statement to Rolling Stone following the verdict, PnB Rock’s mother Deanna Allen said: “I’m elated. I wanted to jump up and scream, ‘Hallelujah.’ I’m so happy it was quick.
We got justice for Rakim. I feel better knowing they’ll be in jail for a long time.”Trone’s lawyer argued there was no proof his client was at the crime scene, but the jury’s foreperson, Edwin Lovo, noted that surveillance video showed differently
