Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Agradaa, has attributed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s defeat in the 2024 presidential election to his failure to follow specific instructions she had given him prior to the elections.
Agradaa made waves in the media as she confidently spoke about the prophecy she delivered before the election results were revealed.

“I always tell you all that when a prophecy comes, take it seriously,” Agradaa declared, speaking with authority in a video making the rounds on TikTok.
“I gave him instructions on the prophecy; you all are aware, and that’s why everyone has to take me seriously,” she continued, referencing the guidance she had provided to Bawumia and his campaign team.
The prophetess explained that she had instructed Bawumia to wear a white outfit during the election period. According to Agradaa, this act was crucial, and not following the instructions led to Bawumia’s eventual loss to John Dramani Mahama.
She further emphasized that her prophecy had worked, but the NPP candidate’s failure to adhere to her advice was the reason for the outcome.
“Nobody can tell me that the prophecy I gave didn’t work. He is the one who didn’t follow the instructions,” she remarked, making it clear that her faith in her own predictions remained unshaken.
Despite her criticism, Agradaa was quick to praise Bawumia for his conduct following the election results. She expressed admiration for how the NPP flagbearer gracefully accepted defeat.

“Bawumia is a great leader, and he has shown us great respect for this country,” she said. “He just came out to accept defeat and congratulated the NDC flagbearer. Because of what he did, he has gained my respect forever.”
Agradaa also pointed out that Bawumia’s prompt concession was a momentous occasion in Ghana’s electoral history.
“This has never happened in Ghana before, where not less than 24 hours after the election, the opponent will come out and accept defeat,” she said.
According to her, this gesture displayed Bawumia’s love for Ghana and his vision for the country, though she believes that there was little he could have done to change the outcome.
For Agradaa, the lesson from this election is clear: “Next time when a prophecy comes, they should listen and take it seriously.”
