There is a brewing controversy in the camp of Nigeria’s top skit creator Mark Angel, following his former partner Denilson Igwe’s recent appearance on Nedu’s podcast, Honest Bunch, where he made several serious accusations.

One of the allegations made by Denilson Igwe was that Mark lied about his protégé, Emmanuella, purchasing a house for her parents.

It is worth noting that in 2020, Emmanuella surprised her parents with a house in a heartwarming viral video.

However, Igwe claimed that the comedian from Port Harcourt fabricated the story about Emmanuella buying a house for her parents.

He went on to explain that the young skit creator was not aware of the cost of building materials like blocks and did not have control over her social media accounts, as Mark Angel was in charge of everything.

Denilson also revealed that he decided to part ways with Mark after discovering that he was being deceived along with the other crew members.

According to him, Mark used to work as a security guard at Kilimanjaro in GRA, Port Harcourt before they started creating their popular skits.

He alleged that he was responsible for the videography content of Mark Angel’s Comedy, which Mark shared on Facebook, but he was left in the dark when their social media page started generating revenue.

Furthermore, he claimed that Mark did not share any of the earnings from the monetization with him until 2016, when he received ₦50,000 after purchasing a car for himself.

Denilson also mentioned that Mark only paid their star, Emmanuella, ₦20,000 per month, even though Mark Angel Comedy was making $160,000 monthly from Facebook.
