On Monday, March 20, 2023, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will begin a nationwide revenue mobilization operation by shutting down all of its offices across the nation.

According to the electricity supply company, the one-month exercise will begin on Monday, March 20, 2023, and end on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

To ensure that all of the ECG’s senior management and staff can take part in the exercise, it will interrupt normal business operations in the company, including the ECG’s headquarters, regional offices, district offices, and everything except the Customer Service Centers.

“The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited wishes to inform its numerous esteemed customers that the Company will embark on a Nationwide Revenue Mobilisation exercise, commencing 20th March to 20th April, 2023.”

“This massive revenue mobilisation exercise will focus on all categories of customers in arrears including State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), and will be monitored by special teams who will apprehend and prosecute customers who attempt to interfere with the exercise, and/or undertake illegal self-reconnection after disconnection.” according to the statement.

Also, the statement strongly suggested that all valued clients of the power distribution company pay their bills immediately to prevent disconnection and later reconnection expenses.
