Drake isn’t backing down. On his newly released project with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, the rapper takes fresh shots at Kendrick Lamar and Joe Budden, reigniting tensions.
The standout track, “Gimme a Hug,” appears to respond to Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance of “Not Like Us.” In the song, Drake raps:
“Drake elimination, fake intimidation / Take a minute, take a deep breath, have a little bit of patience.”
He also downplays rap feuds, suggesting he has no interest in the back-and-forth:
“F**k a rap beef, I’m tryna get the party lit.”
Drake also takes a dig at Joe Budden, referencing his podcast co-host Melyssa Ford:
“Melyssa Ford, you a legend from the 6, hate to see you with a d**k-sucker.”
This line is seen as a direct jab at Budden, who has been one of Drake’s most vocal critics.
Beyond the music, Drake has reportedly filed lawsuits against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing the label of defamation and artificially boosting Kendrick’s “Not Like Us.”
Despite the ongoing drama, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U is now streaming on all major platforms, leaving fans to analyze the latest developments in rap’s biggest feud.
