In an interview on Property FM, Cape Coast, Ghanaian rapper Pope Skinny came to the defence of Dr UN, who has been facing allegations of faking a kidney failure diagnosis.
Dr UN, known for his controversial awards scheme, has been a topic of discussion in the media, with many questioning the authenticity of his illness.

“Dr UN was doing good and the man that we knew was okay and he wouldn’t do this to fake anything to disgrace himself,” Pope Skinny said during the interview.
He expressed his belief that Dr UN is not being deceptive or faking his sickness to make money. “I don’t think he is being deceptive or faking sickness to make money because it is something that has actually happened to him for real,” he added.
Pope Skinny further emphasized his stance, stating, “Sincerely speaking I don’t think that Dr UN is faking but if he’ll use kidney failure to fake people then it’s up to him.”
He drew a parallel to the case of Ghanaian actress Moesha Boduong, who faced similar scepticism when her health issues were initially revealed.

“But that’s the same way that when Moesha’s issues came up people said she’s faking and it has now turned into a stroke,” he remarked.
