Dr. Bawumia Mobbed At Dominic Eduah’s Mother’s Funeral

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, was given a warm welcome at Ajumako in the Central Region. Dr. Bawumia was at the funeral to sympathize Dr. Dominic Eduah, Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation.

When Dr. Bawumia’s arrival at the funeral ground was announced, mourners at the venue surrounded him. The Vice President, in his black apparel at the time, appeared overwhelmed by the attention.

While the Vice President would not permit “Selfie” taking during the funeral, he did recognize those who were screaming his name and waved to those who attempted to snap pictures.

For a moment, the funeral grounds looked like a political rally as Dr. Bawumia and his wife responded to the recognition.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is highly tipped to become the NPP’s presidential candidate for election 2024.

He, however, faces internal competition when the party goes for its presidential primaries.

Already, two of those seeking to vie for the slot, Alan Kyerematen and Dr. Afriyie Akoto, have resigned their positions in the government ostensibly in preparation for the contest.
