“Young artistes should enjoy what they are doing because if you don’t enjoy it, you’re wasting your time,” she emphasized. Reflecting on the pressures of performing live, Mzbel advised artistes not to seek validation from their audience.
“When you perform on stage, don’t seek validation from your audience. If you do, a two-minute song will feel like an hour,” she cautioned.
Mzbel, who has spent years captivating audiences with her dynamic stage performances, also stressed the importance of originality.
“I know some artistes who look programmed when on stage. While it may be working for them now, one day they might forget themselves, and that will go against them. So they should try to stay original,” she noted.
