Doctor Predicted I’ll Die At 20 Over My Sickle Cell Condition – Nacee

In a recent interview, Nacee, the veteran Ghanaian musician behind the hit song Aseda opened up about his battle with sickle cell disease.

Revealing this for the first time, Nacee, whose real name is Nana Osei, shared that he was diagnosed with the condition at a young age.

The doctor who attended to him back then delivered the heartbreaking news that he wouldn’t live past twenty years.

However, defying all odds, Nacee is now approaching his 50th birthday, proving that the doctor’s prediction was far from accurate.

Adding another surprising element to his story, Nacee, who is in contention for Artiste of the Year at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) mentioned that the doctor has since passed away, while he continues to thrive.

“He is very wonderful. He is the one that God used to save my life at that time.”

Nacee also recounted a significant moment in his path to recovery. At a church gathering, he answered an altar call and was prayed for and anointed by the elders of the church.

“The pastor called the elders, and they all came forward, poured oil on me, and prayed for me. Since that day till today… I have never felt sick again. Never. None of my kids [too],” he recounted.
