While Wizkid’s latest album, Morayo, made waves and set multiple records on Spotify, it failed to replicate Davido’s incredible success.

Despite Morayo breaking new ground with its release, none of its tracks managed to secure the top 16 positions for two days in a row on Spotify Nigeria’s Daily Top Songs Chart.

Davido’s Timeless album, on the other hand, effortlessly took over the entire chart, creating a buzz in the industry and leaving fans and critics alike in awe.

The ongoing rivalry between the two megastars has only intensified as this latest development plays out, with Davido proving his dominance on this particular front.

The competition reached a new level of intensity when the music analytics platform The Data Dash took to X (formerly Twitter) to highlight the difference.

They tweeted, “@davido remains the only artist to occupy the Top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for 2 consecutive days, with all new songs from his album Timeless.”

This statement not only gave a public acknowledgement of Davido’s success but also put the spotlight on the gap between him and Wizkid.
