Daisy Ridley and Clive Owen are set to headline the action-packed thriller “Cleaner,” directed by the acclaimed Martin Campbell, known for his work on James Bond films like “Casino Royale” and “GoldenEye.”
The film, which is slated for release in Spring 2025 on Sky Cinema, promises to be a heart-pounding experience.
The story follows Ridley’s character, Joey Locke, an ex-soldier turned window cleaner who finds herself suspended 50 stories above a London skyscraper when a group of criminal activists takes over an energy company’s annual gala.
The situation escalates when an extremist hijacks the event, threatening to kill everyone inside to send out a violent message. With her younger brother among the hostages, Joey must use her military skills to save the day.
Clive Owen plays the leader of the criminal group, adding to the film’s tension and drama. The cast also includes Taz Skylar, Flavia Watson, Rufus Jones, Richard Hope, Lee Boardman, and Ruth Gemmell.
The first trailer for “Cleaner” has already generated buzz, showcasing Ridley’s character in a series of intense action sequences reminiscent of “Mission: Impossible” and “Die Hard”. Ridley’s performance as Joey Locke is expected to be a standout, proving once again her versatility as an action star.
“Cleaner” is written by Simon Uttley, Paul Andrew Williams, and Matthew Orton, and it’s set to be a thrilling addition to the action genre.
