President John Dramani Mahama has reportedly sacked COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), marking a shift in her illustrious career.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, announced on Friday, January 24, 2025, that COP Addo-Danquah has been instructed to hand over her responsibilities and report to the Ghana Police Headquarters for reassignment.
This decision signals her return to the Ghana Police Service after serving at EOCO since January 5, 2022.

Addo-Danquah took the reins at EOCO following the tenure of Steve Raymond Dapaa-Addo, who had been appointed Director-General in July 2021.
Before her EOCO leadership, she held the position of Director-General of the Police Professional and Standards Bureau, demonstrating a commitment to upholding the integrity of law enforcement.
Joining the Ghana Police Service in 1990, COP Addo-Danquah carved a trailblazing path as the first woman to lead the Ghana Police Command and Staff College in Winneba.
Her career also includes roles as administrator of the Police Hospital and head of the Commercial Crime Unit at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
