The announcement was made by The Hollywood Reporter on Monday, September 30, and has already garnered significant attention, with many anticipating what new details the documentary might reveal.
The film promises to revisit not only well-known incidents, such as Brown’s 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna, but also previously unspoken accusations, including sexual assault allegations that have surfaced over the years.
A recently released trailer for the documentary features a voiceover from an unnamed woman, who states: “Chris Brown’s an amazing and talented musician, but let’s call a thing a thing. He’s an abuser of women. Consistently, unapologetically.” This stark message sets the tone for a documentary that doesn’t shy away from confronting Brown’s violent past.
Perhaps most notably, the documentary is expected to feature testimonies from another alleged victim who has not previously spoken out publicly. The inclusion of this testimony could add a new layer to the ongoing narrative surrounding Brown’s history of violence against women.
