Céline Dion and Lady Gaga are set to perform a duet at the Paris 2024 Olympic opening ceremony, as per online speculations.
France’s acting sports minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra confirmed the news on Twitter.
According to French journalist Thierry Moreau, the duo will sing the Édith Piaf classic “La Vie en Rose.” TMZ has also reported that Dion and Gaga will perform the track.
This would mark Dion’s first performance since cancelling the dates on her North American Courage world tour due to her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.
Dion further fueled the rumours by posting on Instagram from Paris on July 24.
“Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world. I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre!” she wrote in both English and French.
