Born on November 25, 1984, in Accra, Ghana, Yvonne has carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry, becoming one of the leading actresses in both Ghallywood and Nollywood.

A Star is Born

Yvonne’s journey began in the vibrant city of Accra, where she was born to a Nigerian father and a Ghanaian mother. From a young age, she showed a passion for the arts, participating in school plays and drama clubs. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics from the University of Ghana and further studies in Press Civilization, Drama, and Marketing at the University of Nantes in France.

Rising to Fame

Yvonne made her screen debut in the 2002 movie “Sticking to the Promise”, produced by Theo Akatugba. Her breakthrough came with the movie “Beyonce: The President’s Daughter”, where she played the lead role. Since then, she has starred in over 150 films, including “The President’s Daughter,” “Single and Searching,” and “Kiss and Tell”.

Yvonne’s talent has not gone unnoticed. She has received numerous awards, including the Best Actress Award at the Ghana Movie Awards 2010 and four Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. Beyond her acting career, Yvonne is known for her philanthropic efforts. She has donated to various causes, including the Black Queens of Ghana and the maternity ward of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Yvonne also hosts a popular cooking show, “Dining with Cooks and Braggarts,” where she showcases her culinary skills and interviews celebrities.
