Cardi B dropped her first single of 2024, “Like What (Freestyle),” on Friday, March 1, which samples Missy Elliott’s 1999 hit “She’s a Bitch.” The track delivers Cardi’s signature boldness and confidence, serving as a reminder that she always emerges victorious.

Accompanying the song is a music video directed by her estranged husband, Offset. In the visually stunning video, Cardi flaunts her curves in a revealing bikini while strutting through a luxurious mansion adorned with fur coats and extravagant jewellery. From lounging on a red sofa to feasting on sushi from a designer purse, Cardi exudes glamour and attitude.

In a recent interview with Vogue México y Latinoamérica, Cardi hinted at an upcoming album, stating that she’s “working on the cover art and ideas.” Despite the anticipation, Cardi remains focused on delivering quality music, assuring fans that the wait will be worth it.

“Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now, they did when I released ‘WAP’ [with Megan Thee Stallion] and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles,” Cardi told the publication.

“So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon,” she teased.

“Like What (Freestyle)” is Cardi’s first single since she teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion for “Bongos” in September.
