Camidoh has acknowledged his mistake regarding a misguided analogy he made comparing Ga Kenkey and smoking, which gained significant attention.
During an interview on Joy Prime, the Sugarcane artist defended smoking, arguing that it is not inherently harmful. He suggested that not everything deemed negative should automatically be viewed as harmful.
He pointed out that if smoking were truly detrimental, then women who prepare Ga Kenkey, a process that generates considerable smoke, would be at serious health risk.
However, following the backlash and criticism of his reasoning, Camidoh has since retracted his statement and issued an apology, admitting that his comments were illogical.
He posted;
“Hey y’all. I just want to acknowledge that I made an analogy about smoking in a recent interview, and, in hindsight, I realize it was a poor choice and genuinely quite dumb. I’m sincerely sorry for that, and I want to formally retract that statement, along with anything I might have said in its defence. Love, Midoh,” he wrote.
