Ghana’s Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen, has asked Ghanaians to be thankful that the hardship they experienced in the year 2022, was not as bad as what other countries experienced.

The New Patriotic Party presidential hopeful said this at the Calvary Charismatic Church in Accra to welcome the new year.

He said the measures being put in place with the International Monetary Fund’s, assistance, will alleviate the plight of Ghanaians.

Mr. Kyerematen thus wants Ghanaians to be hopeful for a better 2023.

He thanked God for being merciful towards Ghanaians considering that other countries with much stronger economies faced more severe challenges.

“Find out from even the most advanced countries like the UK, United States of America, Germany or France, from north to south, east and west, go and find out some were queuing for bread, petrol and cooking oil. These are even rich nations, but for God’s grace, we never queued for petrol.

“This was not because of our might or knowledge or government power, it was by the grace of God.”

Mr. Kyerematen also visited the Faith Gospel Church, Family Chapel International, and St. Cyprian Anglican Cathedral to usher in 2023.
