Several Nigerian websites, such as Pulse, have reported that Burna Boy has achieved the milestone of being the first African artist to reach two billion streams in the United Kingdom.
The musician was therefore presented with a plaque backstage at Koko Camden in London during his performance at the surprise fifth-anniversary concert for his 2019 album ‘African Giant’, which featured hit songs like ‘On The Low,’ ‘Gbona,’ and ‘Anybody’.
Receiving the plaque at the celebratory concert for his Grammy-nominated album ‘African Giant’ is a significant moment for Burna Boy, as this album solidified his status as a superstar following the success of his viral hit single ‘YE’.

In addition, Burna Boy recently released his first single of 2024 titled ‘Higher’, expressing gratitude for his achievements and celebrating with loved ones in a music video that took him on an emotional journey back to his hometown of Port Harcourt.
In a related eveleopement, Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu recently praised the Grammy award-winning artist as a living legend.
She posted the acclamation in celebration of his birthday today, July 2nd, a development that has dominated entertainment news portals in Nigeria.
Mrs Ogulu used his Instastories to convey a series of birthday wishes to her son.
