Bruce Willis turned 68 on Sunday, and his wife Emma Heming Willis posted an emotional tribute to him on social media.

However, the occasion was bittersweet as Bruce has recently been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Emma shared her grief and sadness in a video she posted on Instagram, which she says started out with her crying this morning. The reason being that she is obviously dealing with Bruce’s condition, and she says it takes a toll on her and their family.

Emma also talked about how people often tell her that she is strong and ask how she does it. She said that she is not given a choice and wishes she was because she is also raising two kids in this situation.

Emma reveals that the videos she does to provide updates on Bruce’s condition and how it’s affecting their home life, etc., are difficult for her, but she creates them regardless because she is aware of the number of Bruce’s admirers who are concerned about his well-being and journey.

She adds that the outpouring of love and support she and Bruce have gotten means everything to her, and Emma takes it all to heart. We also know that Emma is currently very protective of Bruce, as she recently begged the media to back off and leave him alone.

Emma also posted an Instagram video earlier this month in which she responded to an incident in which Bruce was captured on camera and recorded while having coffee with pals. She pleaded with journalists and videographers seeking exclusive images of her husband when he was out and about to respect their privacy because she claimed that there is still much training to be done.

Emma and Bruce have two daughters together, Mabel Ray, 10, and Evelyn Penn, 8. Bruce also has three daughters with his ex-wife, Demi Moore: Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 29.
