Videos of the event have surfaced on Instagram originally shared by @goldmynetv featuring Bobrisky celebrating with several celebrity friends on the cruise.
Among the attendees were Nollywood actresses Eniola Ojo and Moyo Lawal, along with socialite Lady Golfer.
Bobrisky whose real name is Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju was arrested and charged with tampering with naira banknotes after he was seen spraying them at a social gathering.
Upon his initial arraignment by Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency in Lagos, he entered a guilty plea.
The sentence imposed on Bobrisky, which does not include the option for a fine, represents the maximum penalty allowable under the law for this offence.
The act of throwing naira banknotes is considered a form of currency abuse, as the notes may land on the ground and be stepped on, which is viewed as disrespectful in this African country.
Judge Abimbola Awogboro stated that the sentence aims to deter others from engaging in similar misconduct regarding the currency.
