Black Sherif, the Ghanaian rapper and singer, has teamed up with Mabel to release a new song titled “Zero.” The song, which is a fusion of afrobeat and pop, was released on February 9, 2024, and is the first single from Black Sherif’s upcoming album “Konongo Kaya.”

“Zero” is a catchy and midtempo song that celebrates the joy of living in the moment and having fun with no worries. The song features Black Sherif’s smooth and confident rap verses, as well as Mabel’s sweet and soulful vocals.

The song was produced by Kayso, a Ghanaian producer who has worked with artists such as Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur, and Medikal. The song was co-written by Black Sherif, Mabel, Kayso, and Arash Amel, a British-Iranian screenwriter who has written films such as Grace of Monaco and A Private War.

The song was accompanied by a colorful and vibrant music video.

“Zero” is the first collaboration between Black Sherif and Mabel, who met through social media and became fans of each other’s music. The song is also the first international feature for Black Sherif (in 2024), who has been making waves in the Ghanaian music scene with his unique style of rap and singing, which he calls “traplife.” Black Sherif, who hails from Konongo-Zongo, a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, has been praised for his storytelling and lyrical skills, as well as his versatility and authenticity.
