In an interview on Kingdom FM, Bishop John Yaw Adu, the leader and founder of New Jerusalem Chapel (NJC), shared a deeply personal story about rapper Okomfo Kwadee, born Jerry Jonhson Anaba.
Bishop Adu revealed that after Okomfo Kwadee was healed of his mental challenges at his camp, the rapper denied knowing him during a live interview on GBC television.

Bishop Adu recounted, “The reason why his family couldn’t bring him back to me when he had another episode was because he granted an interview on GBC and he was asked if it was true that he got healed after he was brought to my place.”
He continued, “He denied ever meeting me. He also denied that he was mentally unstable.
He told the presenter that he only went to visit his people and decided to stay low hence his absence. I was extremely hurt.” Okomfo Kwadee, known for his powerful and traditional lyrics, has been a significant figure in Ghanaian music.
His journey to fame began with his debut album “Kwaadee,” which brought a fresh perspective to the hiplife genre.

Despite his success, Okomfo Kwadee faced personal challenges, including a period of mental illness.
