Big Win For Berla Mundi As She Is Announced As Host For 66th Grammy’s African Nominee Brunch

Berla Mundi is hosting the 66th Grammy’s African Nominee Brunch for the second time. This official side event of the Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on February 3, 2024.

In the previous edition, Berla Mundi successfully hosted the event and had the opportunity to interact with notable personalities such as Nomcebo Zikode from South Africa and Rocky Dawuni from Ghana.

The organizers of this year’s event, GUBA, led by Lady Dentaa Amoateng, MBE, have also announced the attendance of renowned individuals like Davido from Nigeria, Musa Keys from South Africa, and Juls Baby, a British-Ghanaian record producer.

Berla Mundi expressed her excitement on Instagram about hosting this prestigious event for the second time. Other notable Ghanaians, including Kojo Soboh, the founder of EMY’s, rapper Gambo, and music producer Juls, have also been announced as guests for the upcoming event.

Lady Dentaa Amoateng, MBE, assures that the African Nominee Brunch, which will take place at Spring Place in Beverly Hills, will be an unforgettable experience with Berla at the helm.

Meanwhile, African musicians, such as Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr, and Tyla from Nigeria and South Africa, have been nominated for various awards on February 5, 2024.

Burna Boy has received four nominations for Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Global Music Album, Best Global Music Performance, and Best African Music Performance. Davido, another Nigerian artist, has secured three nominations.

Additionally, Asake, Olamide, Ayra Starr, and Tyla have earned their first nominations in the newly introduced category of Best African Performance.

These nominations are part of a series of updates and changes aimed at enhancing the fairness, transparency, and accuracy of the awards process, as stated by Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr.
