Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles has reportedly finilised her divorce from actor Richard Lawson.
Recent reports indicated that Knowles was prepared to end the relationship definitively.
According to various sources, the hairstylist submitted the final financial documents necessary to conclude their separation this week, with details emerging on Thursday.
Knowles made a one-time payment of $300,000 to Lawson, which seems to have been part of a pre-established agreement.
Additionally, both parties signed a non-disparagement clause, preventing them from making negative public statements about each other, a stipulation that also extends to their children and their spouses.
Knowles is well-known as the mother of music icons Beyoncé and Solange, while Lawson has a son, Ricky, and a daughter, actress Bianca Lawson.
None of the children have publicly commented on the divorce. Knowles initiated the divorce process in July 2023, citing irreconcilable differences without providing further details on the reasons for the relationship’s breakdown.
Despite filing, the divorce process was delayed for a year until this week. The couple married in 2015 in Newport Beach, California, surrounded by their famous children and close family.
Lawson remains active in Hollywood, recently appearing in Tyler Perry’s film, “Divorce in the Black.”
