Bawumia Now Eats Communion In Church Because Of Politics- Margaret Ansei

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has come under fire from Margaret Ansei, often known as Magoo, a member of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) publicity team, for his recent visits to Christian and other religious meetings.

The vice president, who is supposed to take the Economic Management Team (EMT) to the IMF to arrange a bailout for Ghana, is instead seen in churches campaigning to be the flagbearer, according to Magoo, who was appearing on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana program.

“Now we can’t even find Bawumia, he is in church every time, I don’t know whether he wants to eat communion, he’s in church, every time. We are sitting on the IMF board meeting for over 6 months we cannot enter the IMF agreement. The Vice president is in church singing praises and worship,” she said.

To her, the Vice President, just like the others, should resign if his focus is to pursue his flagbearer agenda instead of leading in IMF meetings to bring the economy back on track.

“His colleagues have resigned, the gentleman; Alan Kyeremanteng, who was part of the cabinet and later came to tell us that when they go for cabinet meeting they just talk, they do nothing, so he called it ‘NATO’ to wit [No Action, Talk Only], has resigned.

His colleague, the former minister for Agric, had to resign and he’s doing the NPP primaries job. The vice president who is supposed to sit on the economic management team to take us to ordinary IMF board meetings is in church now, praying, receiving communion and taking anointing oil because he wants to be the flagbearer of the NPP. What is he doing in church, he should sit down and get us to IMF board,” she said.

Who is Dr Mahamudu Bawumia wife, Samira Bawumia?

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is married to Samira Bawumia. Before moving on to the Akosombo International School (AIS) and finally the Mfantsiman Girls’ Secondary School in Saltpond in the Central Region of Ghana, Samira began her early education at the Answarudeen Islamic School at Fadama and Alsyd Academy in Accra.

Samira won the Ghanaian Women Association of Georgia Global Humanitarian Award in May 2022 for her efforts to improve women’s empowerment, maternity and child health, and education in the USA. Additionally, she was acknowledged by Macon-Bibb County and the Atlanta City Council.
