Barima Sydney Mentions The Only ‘Big Man’ In NPP Who Picked His Calls After They Won Power

Barima Sydney has disclosed that upon winning power in 2016, there was only one stalwart from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who bothered to answer his calls.

The veteran Hiplife star, known for his association with the ruling government, expressed his disappointment as the party neglected him soon after their victory.

However, he commended the late John Kumah for being the only person who extended a helping hand and maintained a humble demeanour towards him.

In his words, unlike his other friends within the NPP, the late Ejisu MP and minister promptly responded to his messages, as revealed during a conversation with Property FM in Cape Coast

Taking to Amansan Krakye, the African Money hitmaker said, “But there’s this particular man right from day one, this man always, unless you don’t send him a message, he’ll reply and ask you to come and see him at parliament or other places.

“He’ll ask you what you want to do right now and let you know some of the opportunities in the policies they’re rolling out and direct you on how to apply for it.

“This is a man who listened, and from the time that he died until now, I’ve never been myself because we were very close.

“Even though I did not know he was sick, I sent him a message, and he would reply once in a while”, he disclosed.

In other related Barima Sydney news, the rapper and songwriter recently issued a sincere apology to former president John Dramani Mahama for his involvement in popularizing the term Papa No almost four years ago.

The term was coined to refer to an unidentified influential political figure who was allegedly involved with women in the entertainment industry.

Initially used by Tracey Boakye and Gloria Kani during an online exchange of insults, the controversy later dragged Mzbel into the mix.

Some individuals linked the term to John Dramani Mahama, and political analysts believe that the ensuing drama may have contributed to the NDC’s defeat in the 2020 elections.

Sydney’s decision to create a song based on the term led to Mr. Mahama’s images being associated with the track, although the musician has clarified that he was not aware of this.

Sydney was a prominent figure in the hiplife scene, producing numerous chart-topping songs that made waves and augmented entertainment news in Ghana.
