The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Hon. Ekow Vincent Assafuah, has vowed to take legal action against the John Dramani Mahama-led administration over what he describes as unjust dismissals of young workers.
“The government that promised jobs is rather displacing hardworking Ghanaians,” he said in a statement, reacting to reports that the Chief of Staff has terminated all appointments made after December 7, 2024.
According to the MP, these dismissals amount to political victimization. “This is unacceptable! We will not stand by while young people, duly recruited into the public service, are unfairly sacked,” he added.

Assafuah emphasized that a constitutional government must operate within the rule of law. “The 1992 Constitution frowns upon arbitrary dismissals. If this government is serious about job creation, it should be expanding opportunities, not taking them away.”
He assured affected persons that a future NPP government would reinstate them and urged those impacted by the terminations to reach out.
“We will fight this injustice together,” he declared.
