Social media influencer Ashmusy has addressed rumours surrounding her personal life, refuting claims of relationships with politicians and involvement in prostitution.
The rumours began circulating after controversial gossip blogger Gistlover alleged that she was romantically linked to politicians, including former senator Dino Melaye.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Ashmusy dismissed the allegations as completely baseless. “I can’t even relate to dating a politician or doing runs,” she stated. “These are things I’ve never done and never will. It’s just not part of my story.”
Recounting her upbringing, she reflected on her mother’s determination to ensure she had an education despite financial hardships.
“I remember how microfinance banks would show up at our shop and home, always collecting something. Yet, my mother somehow managed to pay off every loan,” she shared, her voice filled with admiration. “She did it all for me, no matter the challenges.”
Ashmusy’s story is one of resilience, shaped by a strong foundation of integrity and hard work. She expressed frustration at how easily people believe unverified claims.
“It’s hurtful when people think your success comes from shortcuts or shady deals,” she said. “They don’t see the long hours, the sacrifices, or the struggles behind the scenes.”
Despite the ongoing rumours, Ashmusy remains focused on her career and the values instilled in her by her mother. “My mum’s sacrifices weren’t for me to build a life on lies or questionable paths,” she asserted. “I owe it to her and myself to remain true to who I am.”
