Ashaiman Military Brutality: “What Happened In Ashaiman Is Proof That Their Coup Is No Joke” – Kwami Sefa Kaye

Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of the morning show “Kokrokoo” on Peace FM, has issued an urgent caution to military coup crusaders, telling them to look at the military attack on the people of Ashaiman for an idea of what a coup in Ghana may be like.

He cautioned against the possibility of a political coup in the country. Some military officials stormed the Ashaiman neighborhood following the murder of a young military officer by unknown assailants.

After the young military officer was killed, other officers from the military decided to assault the neighborhood. The officers arrived in the neighbourhood in military vehicles, wearing military uniforms, and severely beat the residents after forcing them out of their houses.

During the approved operation, the soldiers mercilessly abused every local citizen that was captured.

Mr. Sea Kayi, speaking on the matter on Thursday’s show of “Kokrokoo,” urged those who have been calling for a coup in Ghana to learn a lesson from the Ashaiman-military event and stop making such seditious utterances.

“Those who think a coup is a joke should now have a fair understanding. Those who wake up and say we need a coup, hope this will give them an indication that a coup is nothing good. It is not good!” he warned.
