The Appointments Committee of Parliament is gearing up for a critical week as it resumes the vetting of ministerial nominees.
Starting Monday, January 20, 2025, the nation’s attention will turn to Parliament, where potential leaders for key ministries will thoroughly scrutinise their suitability for the roles.
The process begins with nominees such as Kwame Governs Agbodza for Roads and Highways, Haruna Iddrisu for Education, and Eric Opoku for Food and Agriculture.
As the week progresses, the Committee will engage nominees like Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, who are expected to share their vision for Local Government, Gender and Social Protection, and Trade and Agribusiness, respectively.

By midweek, attention will shift to portfolios like Tourism, Fisheries, and Youth Empowerment, with Abla Dzifa Gomashie and George Opare-Addo among those set to appear.
The vetting extends to Thursday and Friday, with nominees for regional ministerial positions taking center stage.
Notable names include Ali Adolf G. John for the Northern Region, John Kwadwo Gyapong for Oti, and James Gunu for Volta.
The final phase of the exercise on Monday, January 27, will see Charity Gardiner for Ahafo Region, Salisu Be-Awuribe for the Savannah Region, and Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo for the Greater Accra Region close out the lineup.
