MC Portfolio has cleared the air regarding claims by DJ Slim that he was tailing Shatta Wale during the latter’s recent media tour in Kumasi.
Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM, the outspoken media personality expressed disappointment over what he described as a deliberate attempt to misrepresent the facts.
“After we lost contact for about two years, Shatta Wale came to Kumasi for a media tour,” MC Portfolio began, recounting the events.
“He appeared on my show, and then Slim made it seem like I had been following Shatta around on the tour. That’s where I was disappointed.”

According to MC Portfolio, the allegations came as a surprise, given that DJ Slim was fully aware of his affiliation and the station where he works. “You know where I work, and you know the station I’m affiliated with,” he said, addressing DJ Slim directly.
Providing context, MC Portfolio explained that his show, which hosted Shatta Wale, was a relatively new production, only about a month old at the time. “The show was designed by me and the TV station.
It’s something I’m building, so it was surprising when this whole narrative started,” he said, his voice tinged with frustration.
He went on to clarify that Shatta Wale’s appearance on the show was unexpected, even to him. “I didn’t know how Shatta got on the show. I had no idea.
“An hour before we went live, we got an impromptu announcement that he would be on the show,” he revealed, emphasizing that the decision was out of his hands.
The claims from DJ Slim, MC Portfolio noted, seemed to undermine his efforts to establish the show and contribute to the growth of the station. “I’m someone who is helping to build the station, but this narrative just threw me off. It felt unnecessary,” he admitted.
He also hinted at the complexities of relationships in the entertainment industry, revealing that the host of the show had a longstanding relationship with Sammy Flex, Shatta Wale’s trusted media ally. This connection, he suggested, might have been a factor in Shatta’s appearance.
