An Attempt to Save Face- Ola Michael Condemns Church’s Response to Jacob Adjola’s Death

Ola Michael has taken issue with a statement released by Baraka Outreach regarding the death of gospel singer Jacob Adjola, who passed away on October 13, 2024.

The singer’s untimely death, which quickly gained attention on social media, sparked widespread speculation, particularly after a purported suicide note was discovered.

This note led many to believe that Adjola had taken his own life, further fueling public conversations about the circumstances surrounding his passing.

To quell these rumours, the family and Baraka Outreach—the church where Adjola was a prominent figure—released a statement urging the public to refrain from speculating about the cause of death.

They emphasized that the police should be allowed to conduct their investigations without interference. However, the church stated that Ola Michael found problematic, particularly their attempt to address the speculation surrounding the suicide note.

Ola Michael did not mince words in his critique. He expressed displeasure, stating, “That is for the police to do.

“It is also not for them to tell us what happened to the guy; that is for the family to do.” For him, the church’s attempt to dismiss the rumours seemed like a misguided effort to “save face” in light of the alleged suicide note.

“They are doing it because of the suicide note that came out and the speculations. So they’re doing it to save face,” Ola claimed, suggesting that Baraka Outreach’s statement was less about transparency and more about damage control.

As it stands, the official cause of Jacob Adjola’s death remains under investigation, and the police have yet to release any conclusive findings.
