Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Obuasi East Edward Ennin has stirred controversy with recent claims about high-profile figures and corruption involving state funds.
In a revealing interview with Accra-based UTV, Ennin discussed an alarming conversation he had with several ambassadors, one from France, the UK, and the US, which he said opened his eyes to the scale of money laundering happening at the highest levels of government.
“I was at the home of one big personality together with three ambassadors, from France, the UK, and the US, and the conversation that was had there was dangerous,” Ennin said, his tone serious as he described the alarming discussion.

“The ambassadors know about all the monies that are stolen from the country and sent abroad. We are all going to see what will happen.”
Ennin did not hesitate to point fingers at what he described as the government’s failure to curb the systemic corruption under President Akufo-Addo’s administration.
“I went to Guyana, and you would be amazed at the kind of things I saw there. Go and ask the people investing in the oil blocks over there. The day of reckoning is coming,” he warned.
His statements did not stop there. Ennin made it clear that he was ready to take action to expose those involved. “When it comes, I’m prepared to go before the committee.
“I would do this because we have to put Ghana first. When the time comes, I will go and present my evidence,” he emphasized in Twi, speaking directly to the Ghanaian people.
His commitment to revealing the alleged truth has stirred speculation about a potential scandal, with many wondering if the day of reckoning Ennin speaks of could bring to light more than just the misappropriation of funds.
