As part of a clear commitment to fight corruption in Ghana, President-elect John Dramani Mahama is preparing to hit the ground running upon assuming office.
His administration’s anti-corruption agenda, highlighted during the 2024 campaign, is already taking shape with the formation of a dedicated team tasked with gathering information on suspected acts of corruption and recovering looted state resources.
The announcement was made by the Transition Team of John Dramani Mahama, underscoring that his government intends to act decisively once he takes office.
The team, according to a statement released on December 18, 2024, is charged with the responsibility of receiving and collating information from the public and credible sources about suspected corrupt practices.
“To ensure that we are proactive in fulfilling our promise to hold those accountable for corruption, we have formed a team to help with the process.
They will collect information and investigate any suspicious activities to ensure those responsible are brought to justice,” stated Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson for the Transition Team.
