AMAA 2024 Awards: See Full Winners

The 20th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs) took place on November 2, 2024, at the Balmoral Convention Center in Lagos, hosted by Segun Arinze and Joselyn Dumas.

This year’s ceremony honoured both emerging talents and established figures across 26 categories, with a jury led by filmmaker Dorothee Wenner.

The event coincided with Netflix’s Lights, Camera, Naija… gathering, leading to a delay in the AMAA presentations that allowed attendees to participate on both occasions.

Nigeria’s The Weekend and South Africa’s The Queenstown Kings emerged as top winners, with four awards each, while Nigeria’s Oscar submission Mai Martaba won in the costume design category.
