“For those of you sending me messages to reach out to Burna Boy, I won’t,” she asserted in a bold social media post. Her reasoning stems from a lingering issue dating back to 2016, when Burna Boy was embroiled in a controversy with Uju Stella, who claimed he had fathered her child.
Cynthia reflected on her refusal to believe Burna Boy’s denial at the time, saying, “If it was me, I would reach out, but he’s probably still mad I didn’t believe he didn’t impregnate Uju Stella.
“That’s what most men do—they lie and get mad when you don’t believe them.”
The controversy, which stirred public discourse years ago, resurfaced in Cynthia’s statement as she referenced Burna Boy’s eventual online admission of the situation eight years later. “They lie and get mad when you don’t believe them,” she reiterated.
