Reports indicate that John Alan Kyerematen, the Minister of Trade and Industry, has resigned from his position in the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government.

On Thursday, January 5, 2023, the minister is alleged to have submitted a letter of resignation to President Nana Akufo-Addo, according to several sources who are close to the ministry, according to Joy FM in Accra, the former minister’s resignation was accepted in principle.

There have been persistent rumours for a long time that the individual who is well known by the nickname “Alan Cash” harbours the desire to run for the position of flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

It is not clear, however, if he is resigning in order to free up more time to focus on the desire he has.
