Akufo-Addo’s Lawyer Cast Doubt Over Credibility Of NSMQ

In a post on his Facebook page, which was brought to the attention of Tru News Report, Essuman suggested that the organizers of the show have been favouring Presec, one of the most prominent schools in Ghana, in order to maintain its unbeatable status.

He alleged that this has been occurring recently, with the aim of promoting Presec as the best school in Ghana. Essuman further claimed that this year, several other top schools, such as Prempeh, were unfairly eliminated from the competition. He also pointed out that the show’s social media account appears to be biased, with commentators mocking other schools and promoting Presec.

Following the progression of seven-time champions Presbyterian Boys SHS, two-time titleholders Achimota School, and equally illustrious two-time champions Opoku Ware to the finals of the competition, a comment was made.

Achimota School faced a challenging showdown against formidable opponents Wesley Girls and St. Louis SHS during the Thursday morning clash. In a gripping battle, Achimota School emerged triumphant with a commanding 41 points, establishing a significant 10-point lead in the final round.

On the other hand, Opoku Ware endured their most arduous battle since the competition’s inception against their Kumasi rivals Prempeh College and Pope John Seminary. In a historic victory, they outshone their Kumasi counterparts for the very first time, winning their contest with 38 points, two points more than their opponents.

The last semi-final match witnessed a daunting contest between Presec Legon, Mfantsipim School, and Keta SHS. In a grueling battle of wits, Presec emerged as the ultimate victor, earning their place in the grand finale set to take place on Tuesday, October 31.

Meanwhile, here’s the post he shared that has since gone viral;

The NSMQ seems to be taking a leisurely stroll into the realm of doubt. Suddenly, it appears the competition is bending over backward to help PRESEC break records they couldn’t tackle alone. They’re trying to turn PRESEC into a “super school,” but that idea’s about as likely to fly as a lead balloon. As for the so-called “final” on October 31st, let’s be real here – PRESEC versus Motown and OPUSCO doesn’t exactly scream “epic showdown.” I once pointed out that PRESEC’s victories happen within the cozy confines of PRESEC or its environs. So, a plan was hatched to break that streak by bringing the show to Kumasi and letting PRESEC swoop in for the win. Unluckily for them, that scheme went up in smoke, and Prempeh reigned in Kumasi. Remember that bizarre scoreboard malfunction and the global PRESEC Alumni’s reaction to that loss? They got their sweet revenge the following year, breaking PRESEC’s “home turf” curse. Now, PRESEC has never triumphed at the National Theatre, and lo and behold, this year’s quiz has seemingly been tailored to place PRESEC in the final against some not-so-challenging schools at the National Theatre. The plot to keep Prempeh out of the finals is crystal clear. If you want to spot the bias, just check NSMQ’s social media account – their commentator might think they’re cracking jokes, but it’s more cringe than comedy. So, mark your calendar for October 31st, and remember, I told you so! 😉 #NSMQ2023
