President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned a newly constructed library and technology hub in the Kumasi suburb of Ahenbronum, built by the Member of Parliament for Bantama, Francis Asenso-Boakye.

According to a report, the building was constructed by Member of Parliament for Bantama and Minister for Works and Housing Francis Asenso-Boakye and named after the president in honour of his extraordinary contributions to education in the country since he took office in 2017.

The establishment of the “Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Community Library & Technology Hub” aims to facilitate connectivity among the youth residing in Bantama, enabling them to engage with their peers across the country.

The facility has a fully furnished library that is equipped with a wide range of relevant books, advanced resources, computer systems, and internet access, thereby helping users stay informed about current global issues.

During his speech at the event, Asenso-Boakye expressed gratitude to the president for his significant contributions to the field of education. Additionally, Asenso-Boakye emphasised the president’s numerous development initiatives in the Bantama area, such as the establishment of AstroTurf pitches, the construction of police stations, and the implementation of road projects.

President Nana Akufo-Addo thanked the people of Bantama for the honour they had bestowed upon him and praised the MP for acting in the best interests of his constituents.

“I urge you all to support your MP, Asenso-Boakye, to take Bantama to greater heights. He is a good person, and with him, I have no doubt he will continue his good works if retained,” the president said.

In attendance at the event were various dignitaries, including Sam Pyne, the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly; Prince Sefah, the Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC); Prof. Addai Mensah, the Chief Executive of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital; and several other notable people.
