Notwithstanding the dismal performance of the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) during its eight-year tenure, Agya Koo has demonstrated unwavering support for the party, as evidenced by his composition of a campaign song aimed at bolstering Kennedy Agyapong’s presidential aspirations.

And despite the criticism that his stance has engendered, Agya Koo has persisted in accompanying the Assin Central MP on a nationwide campaign tour dubbed the ‘Showdown Walk.’

Defending his decision amidst backlash, Agya Koo via his X account said ” I supported Nana Akuffo Addo because of free education and I will support NPP in the next election. You can decide not to side with me I’m okay !!!!”.

Previously, a portion of this song was disseminated on social media by Agya Koo, which elicited significant censure from the Ghanaian populace, given the unparalleled hardships that Ghanaians are currently experiencing. Subsequently, Agya Koo acknowledged the discontent and issued the following statement in response.
“I supported Nana Akuffo Addo because of free education and I will support NPP in the next election. You can decide not to side with me I’m okay !!!! #bedam.”
