Ghanaian rapper Medikal has opened up about the fallout between him and Nigerian superstar Davido, revealing the events that led to their social media disconnect.
MDK explained that his decision to block Davido stemmed from issues of loyalty and mutual respect—key principles he holds close in his friendships in an interview on Hitz FM.
“After I confronted him about the issue, he unfollowed me,” Medikal shared, recounting the beginning of their disagreement.

“I told him, ‘I didn’t tell you that,’ and I showed him what a real friend would do. So, he unfollowed me, and I was like, cool.”
Although Medikal did not delve into the exact details of what sparked the misunderstanding, his comments hinted at a deeper betrayal or miscommunication.
For the rapper, loyalty appeared to be the breaking point in their friendship. “To make it easier for him not to see anything of mine, I blocked him. It all comes down to loyalty,” he added.
Medikal’s decision to block Davido might seem extreme to some, given their shared history as two of Africa’s leading voices in music.
Both artists have enjoyed massive success in their respective careers, collaborating with big names and earning regional and international recognition.
