A Public Lynching Before My Son’s Day in Court- Diddy’s Mother Speaks Out

In a deeply emotional statement, Janice Smalls Combs, the mother of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has spoken out in defence of her son amidst the serious legal challenges he is currently facing.

Released through her counsel, Janice expressed profound sadness and devastation over the allegations against Diddy, and the public’s reaction, which she describes as a “public lynching.” She urged people to withhold judgment until her son had the opportunity to share his side of the story and prove his innocence.

Janice emphasized the toll the situation has taken on her and her family, stating, “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies.”

She expressed deep concern over what she believes to be a rush to judgment, where public opinion has quickly turned against Diddy without considering his right to a fair trial.

“To bear witness to what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words,” she lamented.

While acknowledging that her son has made mistakes in the past, Janice maintained that Diddy is being unfairly portrayed and is not the “monster” he is being painted as. She admitted that there were times when he may not have been entirely forthcoming, but stressed that this does not equate to guilt in the current case.

Referring to a past incident involving an ex-girlfriend, she explained that Diddy’s civil legal team opted to settle the lawsuit rather than fight it to the end, a decision that the federal government has since used against him. However, she strongly believes that this was not an admission of guilt, but rather a strategic move that has been misinterpreted.

“Not being entirely straightforward about one issue does not mean my son is guilty of the repulsive allegations and the grave charges levelled against him,” Janice stated.

She drew attention to the broader issue of wrongful convictions, reminding the public that many people have been unjustly punished due to misunderstandings or biases surrounding their character. She argued that her son is being judged for past mistakes rather than the truth of the current allegations, and warned against a rush to judgment based on misconceptions.

The statement also addressed the financial motivations behind the accusations, which Janice believes are driving the false claims. She expressed anger and frustration over what she sees as opportunistic attempts to profit from Diddy’s misfortune, saying, “These lies thrown at him are motivated by those seeking a financial gain, and not justice.”

For Janice, the hardest part has been witnessing the rapid unravelling of her son’s life and career. She described the emotional toll of watching the world mock her son’s struggles and turn against him without allowing him to defend himself. “Watching the world make jokes and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I can never forget,” she said.

In closing, Janice called on Diddy’s supporters, fans, and the public to refrain from passing judgment until all the facts are out. She emphasized the importance of not condemning her son based on incomplete information and urged people to remember the many individuals who have been wrongfully accused in the past.

“My son is not the monster they have painted him to be, and he deserves the chance to tell his side,” she pleaded. Janice expressed her hope that she will live to see her son vindicated and be allowed to reclaim his dignity.

With this heartfelt statement, Janice Smalls Combs seeks to rally support for her son during one of the most challenging times of his life, while also reminding the public of the importance of due process and the presumption of innocence.
