Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has promised bold action in the Gomoa Central constituency as he prepares to fulfil his campaign promises.
The newly elected Independent Member of Parliament (MP) revealed that one of his top priorities will be to reclaim lands that have been seized from his constituents over the years.
In a recent interview with UTV, A Plus shared the insights he gained from his research ahead of the elections. “Before I went to the contest, I had done my research to see if they preferred the sitting MP or not.
“So after the team had conducted the research, we got to know that 70 plus people didn’t like the sitting MP,” he explained.

According to A Plus, his research highlighted a pressing issue: land disputes. “It was land issues. Some people have seized their lands for a long time, so this week I am going to do some biggest actions that they have not seen before,” he said with determination.
A Plus, who ran as an Independent candidate after breaking away from the mainstream political parties, has long been vocal about addressing the concerns of the ordinary citizen.
His victory in Gomoa Central marked a significant political shift, and his promises to address land seizure issues have resonated deeply with his constituents.
Many locals have expressed frustration over the long-standing land disputes, with some families losing access to their ancestral lands for years.
In response to these grievances, A Plus has vowed to take decisive steps. “All the lands that have been seized over the years, I am going to retrieve all of them and establish that all those areas belong to us,” he declared, signalling his readiness to confront the powerful individuals or entities responsible for the land grabs.
